You’ll recognize Matt Callahan’s work as the trademark brush stroke of Channelside décor. His murals spread from Splitsville, Stumps Supper Club, Tinatapas, Imax Theatres, Tampa Tribune murals in the side entrance and five floors of the parking garage.. His work can also be found at the Florida Aquarium and various location all over the Tampa Bay area, each restaurant, bar and private residence transformed by Callahan’s innovative artwork.
Callahan is the founder of Man Made Murals, a company that prides itself on the diversity of it’s work, from custom commercial and residential murals, to many styles of faux-painting, to logo, t-shirt and CD design, to portraits on canvas. Callahan is also an established painter involved in local art shows and his original artwork can be found in some of Tampa’s most premiere collectors.
A native Floridian, Callahan’s career in the art world began with winning an art college scholarship for his work shown at “Le Moyne Art Gallery”. At Atlanta College of Art he received a B.A. in Illustration, which would later influence the emblematic and narrative nature of his artwork.
